Recently, some Studio Display users had reported audio problems like sound dropouts and choppy playback. A new report from MacRumors says that Apple has sent a memo to authorized service providers acknowledging ' that customers may find themselves facing speaker issues with the company's. Apple’s new version of Studio Display update 15.5 comes with a fix for an audio issue. If you use a 'Thunderbolt to HDMI' adapter (actually, a USB-C (DisplayPort) to HDMI adapter) in the reverse direction, that will NOT work. Also, no Dolby Atmos sound for the connected device. Apple has reportedly acknowledged that the company's 1,599 Studio Display is experiencing some very unfortunate sound issues such as distortion and cutting out. The 27' Apple 5K Studio Display requires Thunderbolt input. And, as per Techradar, Apple has confirmed to the publication that “any A13-dependant features of the Studio Display will only work if you connect a supported Mac or MacBook to the monitor.” So, with an incompatible device, the 12MP webcam’s Centre Stage feature won’t work and as such, the webcam will function as a regular one.
